From production machinery to packaging lines and spare parts, UK businesses can source industrial equipment from China at prices that reshape a capital budget — with the compliance and support checks that keep a line running.
Machinery is where direct sourcing has the largest single effect on a budget, because the individual values are high enough that the reseller margin becomes a substantial figure in its own right. A packaging line, a CNC machine or a piece of processing equipment bought through a UK distributor carries a markup that becomes very visible once you have seen what the manufacturer charges.
It is also the category where price alone is the worst possible basis for a decision. Machinery has to be safe, has to run on UK power, and has to keep running — which makes spare-parts availability and technical support part of the specification rather than a nice-to-have. What to consider
Machinery must meet UK safety requirements (CE / UKCA where applicable) and the correct power/voltage spec — we confirm both.
Availability of spare parts and technical support is part of choosing the right supplier, not an afterthought.
Ask what documentation and operator training come with the machine — English-language manuals and commissioning support are not automatic.
Order critical wear parts with the machine itself; sourcing a single component later costs disproportionately more in both time and freight.

This is exactly why we weigh support and parts availability during supplier selection. We favour manufacturers with a real technical support function and a parts supply you can actually reach, over the lowest quote.
Will it work on UK power?
Only if it is specified that way from the outset, which we confirm before ordering. Voltage, phase and frequency need designing in — adapting equipment after it arrives is expensive and sometimes unsafe.
