UK Anti-Dumping Duty Checker (China origin)

Anti-dumping duty is charged on top of normal duty and can be many times larger. Check whether a measure applies to your product before you commit to an order.

Result

Indicative only. This checks whether a measure exists against Chinese origin on a commodity code; it does not tell you the rate you will pay, which depends on your exporter's additional code and can change. Always confirm on gov.uk before ordering.

Questions about this tool

What is anti-dumping duty?

An extra duty charged on top of the normal duty rate on goods from a particular country, where a measure is in force against that origin. It can be many times larger than the normal duty, which is why it is worth checking before you commit to an order rather than at the border.

Why does the checker not give me a single rate?

Because the rates are usually set per exporter, not per product. A code often carries separate entries tied to additional codes for named Chinese factories, plus a residual rate for everyone else. Ask your exporter for their additional code, then confirm the rate against it on the official entry.

What does "no measure found" mean?

That no anti-dumping or countervailing measure against Chinese origin was found on that commodity code. Normal duty and import VAT still apply, and measures change, so confirm on gov.uk before ordering.
