Ceramics, tableware, cookware and home textiles are classic China sourcing categories. Factory-direct pricing lets retailers and hospitality buyers stock quality homeware at margins the high street cannot.
Homeware suits direct sourcing because the products are largely unbranded, which means the price you pay reflects manufacturing and distribution rather than a name. For retailers building an own-label range, or hospitality buyers equipping a site, this is where the margin sits — the same ceramic or glass item carries a very different price depending on how many hands it passes through.
The two practical considerations are food contact and breakage. Anything used with food or drink has to meet food-contact requirements, which we specify and verify before ordering. And ceramics and glassware are the categories where packing quality determines what actually arrives intact — a good product badly packed is a write-off. We agree packing standards explicitly and check them at pre-shipment inspection, because breakages found in China are the supplier's problem and breakages found in the UK are yours.

How do you protect fragile homeware in transit?
We agree protective packaging and run pre-shipment checks, so breakages are caught before goods leave China.
Is it suitable for commercial hospitality use?
Only if specified that way. Commercial durability and dishwasher tolerance are explicit requirements we write into the specification — domestic-grade tableware fails quickly in a commercial setting.
Will a repeat order match the original?
Close, but glaze and dye lots do shift subtly between production runs. Where a set has to match exactly, we recommend ordering the full quantity in one run rather than topping up later.
