Chinese glassworks make candle jars in bulk. To get jars the same as the sample, keep a signed reference sample, write glass colour, brim capacity and fill line, wall thickness, lid fit and seal, decoration and packing into the specification, burn-test samples with your own wax, wick and fragrance, and inspect the production run against the sample before shipping. Specify the jar, the lid and the packing
A jar that looks right in a photograph can still fail as a candle vessel: uneven walls crack under heat, and a lid that fits one batch can be loose on the next. Write the specification per part and approve a sample from the production glass, not a showroom piece.

UK import duty
Read from the UK Trade Tariff on 29 September 2026, the lines below carried 0% to 10% ordinary duty on goods from China. The classification matters here: a jar sold as decorative or table glassware is 10% under heading 7013, while a container for the conveyance or packing of goods is 0% under heading 7010, but from 9 September 2026 glass containers of that kind under 2.5 litres from China also carry provisional anti-dumping duty: 52.97% for exporters not named, and 24.65% to 26.87% for named groups and co-operating exporters with the signed invoice declaration, for up to 6 months or until a definitive duty. Burn-test before you order
Only your wax, wick and fragrance show whether a jar is right for your candle. Pour and burn a few samples to the end, watch for heat at the base and the glass near the flame, and keep the tested jars with the approved sample. Agree that the production glass matches the tested sample.
The finished candle is your product in Great Britain, and general product safety duties apply to it. Keep the burn-test record, the supplier details and the warning labels you use together with the order file.
Small first orders
We add no minimum order of our own. Factories set their own minimums per colour and decoration, and stock amber and clear jars often allow a smaller first run than a custom colour. Minimums and sampling covers how to work with them, and the landed price shows what the jars cost you delivered.
For an enquiry, send the jar size and colour, lid type, decoration, quantity, delivery address and date. Our own staff in China check the jars and the packing before shipment.
