Start with the importer's registration
Suriname's government guidance says anyone may import and export after registering with the Chamber of Commerce and Factories, known as KKF. Before paying a factory deposit, ask your own Surinamese customs broker to check the intended importer's registration. Give us that importer's details and the broker's contact so the purchasing documents follow the agreed arrangement.
The government's import flyer says goods outside the Negative List may be freely imported or exported. Ask your broker to check the exact product against the current list and identify any permission, certification, registration or labelling work before production. Send the model, materials and intended use rather than a broad catalogue description.
Agree a quote to your own port
Tell us your Surinamese destination port, product specification, quantity and packing requirements. Ask the quotation to identify the delivery term, freight, insurance arrangements and any destination charges left for you.

Approve the document pack before dispatch
We coordinate the commercial invoice and packing list with the Chinese factory and the agreed seller. Ask your broker to review drafts showing the UK seller, Surinamese buyer and direct shipment from China. Match the product descriptions, quantities, values, carton counts and weights across the documents, and coordinate the transport document with the forwarder.
Where your broker requests a certificate of origin, we arrange it with the exporter on the agreed basis. We collect available factory test reports and coordinate additional testing when agreed. Check that reports identify the actual model, materials and configuration. Have the broker confirm the acceptable evidence and approve label artwork before printing.
Check the supplier and inspect the finished goods
Our own staff in China check the supplier's identity, production site and capability against your specification. We establish who will manufacture the order, review relevant equipment and processes, and identify proposed subcontracting. Keep the approved sample and written specification available for production checks.
Before shipment, we inspect the finished goods against the agreed specification and sample, including function, finish, quantities, packaging and approved labels. Record defects, corrections and your shipment-release decision. Factory audits and inspections are usually included in the quote; complex checks that need a third party are charged separately and agreed in advance.

Your own broker handles the Surinamese arrival
Agree with your own customs broker that they will confirm the final entry, classification and valuation, prepare the declaration and supporting submissions, calculate applicable local duties and taxes, and coordinate clearance and release. Send the completed document pack before dispatch and ask them to flag anything needed before arrival.
