Can my repeat China order fit into Amazon UK FBA?
Send the whole order only if your account shows sufficient capacity for the relevant storage types and periods, and the shipment checks pass. Check your account before committing to the repeat order
Open Capacity Monitor in your UK Seller Central FBA dashboard. Save a dated screenshot and record the capacity limit, usage, remaining space, storage type, period and measurement unit shown. Use your account's figures rather than another seller's allowance. If no limit appears, ask support to confirm the position before treating the account as unrestricted.
Mark future figures as confirmed or estimated according to their displayed status. Keep pending capacity requests outside your approved storage plan until the additional space is confirmed for the required period. Recheck before paying the balance and before dispatch. Reconcile existing stock and open shipments
Amazon counts on-hand inventory and open shipments towards capacity usage. Export the inventory position and shipment list together. Separate available, reserved, unfulfillable and incoming goods, then match incoming quantities to shipment references. Investigate abandoned plans and duplicate entries before changing them; do not cancel a shipment that is genuinely travelling.
Build a reconciliation for each storage type: the displayed limit, existing usage and proposed additional volume. If starting with displayed remaining capacity, do not subtract existing usage again. Check whether the repeat order already appears in an open shipment before adding it. Keep expected sales and planned removals as assumptions until the account reflects the relevant change.
Keep carton volume separate from account inventory volume
Ask the factory for a packing list by product variant, showing quantities, units per carton, carton count, external dimensions and gross weight. Request measurements and photographs of finished production packing. Calculate shipping volume by multiplying each carton's external length, width and height in metres, multiplying by the matching carton count, then adding the totals. See calculating shipping volume.
For the capacity comparison, use the product volumes and storage classifications shown in your account against the proposed quantities. Keep those figures separate from outer-carton volume and pallet space. Convert measurements into the same unit before comparing them. Arrange UK reserve storage before the factory finishes
If the whole order cannot be supported by the capacity check, compare a smaller repeat order, agreed staged factory dispatch and UK reserve storage with later replenishment. Obtain written acceptance from the intended UK warehouse for your goods, quantities and arrival arrangements. Confirm who receives, counts, stores, labels and dispatches each allocation.
Ask for a worked quote covering unloading, receiving, storage, preparation, onward transport and eventual stock collection. Include a slower-sales scenario and the cost of repeated replenishment deliveries. Agree what happens if Amazon intake is delayed or the allocation changes. Make the payment decision reviewable
Prepare an approval sheet linking the account screenshot, stock reconciliation, verified packing list, proposed FBA allocation and confirmed reserve destination. Check the proposed products and quantities in the current shipment workflow and resolve warnings before dispatch. Treat a successful workflow check as evidence for that allocation at that time, rather than a promise of future space.
Before the deposit, agree how quantities, packing and dispatch can change if capacity becomes insufficient. Before the balance, update the evidence and confirm the destination for every carton.
