Start with the importer's EORI
The starting gate is EORI registration. EU import guidance states that a business importing into the EU must have an EORI number. EU customs guidance also says economic operators must communicate this number to customs authorities for customs operations. Ask your Hungarian customs broker to check the importing company's details before committing to production.

Name the seaport or border point in the quote
Hungary is landlocked, so a quote to your own port means the seaport or border point you name. Goods can travel from China through the agreed route while you buy through our UK company. Give us the precise handover location and ask the quote to identify the delivery term, freight, insurance and destination handling.
Agree the onward leg to Hungary or your premises separately, including who books it and pays handling or storage charges. Approve product evidence before shipment
EU guidance says importers must ensure their products conform to EU law. CE marking is required only for products covered by harmonised EU rules that specifically mandate it. Before approving production, agree the testing, declarations, label artwork and instruction language with your product adviser. Match reports to the actual model, materials and configuration. The Chinese factory supplies product and packing details and the available test reports. We coordinate the commercial invoice from the agreed seller, assemble and cross-check the packing list, and arrange a certificate of origin where your broker requests it. Agree the certificate's issuer and wording before shipment. Send draft documents to your broker alongside the transport document.
Appoint your own customs broker to handle the arrival declaration and clearance queries, check classification, origin and customs value, and confirm duties, import VAT and any product-specific requirements. Check the supplier and inspect before release
Our own staff in China check the supplier's identity, manufacturing site, equipment and ability to make your specification. Compare the contracting company and payment details, clarify subcontracting, and retain an approved sample. Agree written acceptance criteria before placing the production order.
Before shipment, inspect workmanship, dimensions, function, quantities, packaging and approved labels against the agreed criteria. Record defects, corrections and the buyer's release decision. Keep factory capability checks, batch inspection and laboratory evidence separate.
