Start with the importer's RTN registration
Honduras’s Ministry of Economic Development lists importers among those obliged to register in the Registro Tributario Nacional, known as RTN. Before paying a factory deposit, ask your Honduran customs broker to check the registration of the person or company that will import the goods.
Send the broker the product description, materials, intended use and model details. Ask for a written checklist covering any product registration, import licence, certification or labelling applicable to your goods. Resolve the checklist before approving production, especially where it could change the factory choice or packaging.
Agree a price to your own Honduran port

Agree the document pack before shipment

Ask the broker whether a certificate of origin is needed and which form is acceptable; we arrange it with the factory or exporter as agreed. We also obtain available factory test reports and coordinate additional testing against the agreed checklist. Check that reports identify the actual model, materials and manufacturer before accepting them.
Check the supplier and inspect the finished goods
Our staff in China check the supplier's identity, production location and ability to make your specification. We clarify whether it manufactures the goods or buys them elsewhere, review relevant production equipment and agree a sample to use as the inspection reference.
Before shipment, we inspect against the agreed specification and sample, checking workmanship, dimensions, function, quantities, labels and packing as relevant. We report findings and agree corrective work before shipment approval. Keep this inspection brief separate from the broker's document checklist so both receive an explicit review.

Give your own broker the arrival work
Arrange for your Honduran customs broker to review classification, customs value, applicable duties and taxes, and the final entry. Agree that the broker will prepare and lodge the declaration, coordinate any customs queries or examination, and organise release with the carrier or terminal. Send document drafts before sailing so corrections can be made at the China end.
