Importing from China to Haiti: Import notice
Start with Haiti's import notice or licence procedure. The commerce ministry publishes a CIF threshold for electronic submission and validation. Have your Haitian broker confirm the applicable route and final entry before shipment. For sourcing and a quote to your Haitian port, work with Cambridge China Bridge.

Start with the import notice or licence
Haiti's commerce ministry says imports with a cost, insurance and freight value at or above 3.000 US dollars require the importer to submit an import notice or licence form electronically for ministry validation. The amount follows the ministry's published number format.
Before committing to production, send your own Haitian customs broker the product description, intended use, materials and proposed shipment value. Ask them to confirm which form applies and provide a written checklist covering any product authorisation, testing, labelling or inspection needed for your particular goods.
Agree a price to your Haitian port
Give us your product specification, quantity, packing requirements and destination port. We can quote to your own Haitian port. Agree the delivery term, freight and insurance arrangements, and identify destination handling, clearance and onward delivery costs separately.
Use our overseas buying guide for the wider purchasing process and buying through a UK company for the commercial arrangement. Ask the quote to name the seller, payment recipient and party coordinating shipment.
Prepare the factory and shipment documents
We coordinate the commercial invoice and packing list with the Chinese factory and the agreed selling arrangement. Ask your broker to review drafts before dispatch. Match the seller, importer, goods descriptions, quantities and values across the documents, and reconcile carton counts, weights and packing details.
Where your broker requests a certificate of origin, we arrange it with the exporter. For test reports, we obtain relevant factory evidence or coordinate agreed testing. Check that reports identify the actual model, materials and configuration. Have the broker confirm acceptable issuers and approve the document checklist before shipment.
Check the supplier and inspect the finished goods
Our own staff in China check the supplier's business identity, production address and ability to make your specified product. We establish whether the supplier operates the factory, review relevant equipment and processes, and ask which work will be subcontracted. Approve a sample and written acceptance criteria before production.
Before shipment, we inspect the finished order against the agreed specification and sample, including agreed checks of function, finish, quantities, packaging and labels. We record findings and corrective work for your release decision. Keep this purchasing inspection separate from any official inspection or certification identified by your broker.

Give your Haitian broker the completed pack
Arrange for your own customs broker to confirm the final entry, classification and valuation, prepare the declaration, calculate local duties and taxes, and coordinate clearance and release. Send the completed document pack for review before booking shipment, including the carrier's transport document when available. Ask who will handle any outstanding filing.
For purchases serving several markets, compare the Colombia guide and Mexico guide, while keeping a separate broker checklist for Haiti. Send Cambridge China Bridge your product brief, Haitian port and broker's instructions so the factory work and shipment documents follow the same plan.
