Start with importer registration
El Salvador Customs instructs anyone not registered as an importer to request registration at their preferred or nearest customs office. Before committing to production, ask your own Salvadoran customs broker to check your registration and confirm the business that will appear as importer on the shipment documents.

Request a written checklist covering any product registration, certification, permits or labelling applicable to your order. Agree a price to your Salvadoran port

Build the document pack around your broker's checklist
We coordinate the commercial invoice and packing list with the factory and the agreed seller. Send drafts to your broker before shipment, especially where the UK seller and Chinese manufacturer are different businesses. Ask the broker to approve how each party is identified. Match descriptions, quantities and values across the documents, and reconcile carton counts and weights with the finished shipment.
Where your broker requests a certificate of origin, we arrange it with the exporter. We obtain the factory's available test reports or coordinate agreed testing, checking that the evidence identifies the model and configuration ordered. Agree any missing reports and label artwork before production. Ask your broker which documents need originals and which can be supplied electronically.
Check the supplier, then inspect the finished goods
Our China staff check the supplier's identity, actual production site and capability against your specification. We review relevant equipment and processes, establish which work is subcontracted, and compare the proposed product with your approved sample. Agree what photographs, records and findings you want from the factory check.
Before shipment, we inspect the finished order against the written specification and approved sample. Agree checks for function, dimensions, finish, quantity, packaging and label artwork. Your own broker manages the arrival
Customs states that its Central American customs declaration is transmitted online and completed according to its instructions. Arrange for your own Salvadoran broker to confirm the final entry, classification and valuation, prepare the declaration, calculate local duties and taxes, and coordinate customs queries and release when the goods arrive.
Give the broker the agreed document pack and carrier's transport document before arrival. Ask them to identify any action needed before dispatch and confirm outstanding documents before we book shipment.
