The electrophoresis apparatus candidate line 8543 30 70 00 carries 2% duty for goods from China. Qualifying dedicated parts under 8543 90 90 00 carry 0%. The table repeats the apparatus code for different designs; these are not separate tariff subdivisions.

The supplied facts list no anti-dumping or countervailing duty and no suspension for these lines. No controls are attached to the apparatus line. The parts line flags a goods-for-torture export restriction. Ask your customs broker to confirm its relevance and declaration treatment for the actual parts; an export flag does not establish a China-to-UK import prohibition.

Specify the tank, gel format and power supply

State whether the apparatus is for horizontal or vertical gels, research or teaching. For vertical systems, agree plate thickness, spacers, clamps and casting seals. Define cleaning chemicals and ask the factory to confirm material compatibility.

Specify the power supply separately: output range, constant-voltage and constant-current operation, timer, connector polarity and the intended response to lid removal or a disconnected lead. What goes wrong

A tank can look sound but leak during casting or running. Poor seals, distorted trays, uneven electrodes and incompatible combs can undermine repeatability. A power supply display alone does not prove accurate output. Agree acceptance using an actual separation run and suitable output measurements, with packing that protects glass plates and electrode assemblies.
