Start with the product certification gate

Confirm the conformity route before choosing a factory. Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies states that telecommunications equipment, including terminal equipment used on telecommunications networks, must be certified against the prescribed standards, technical conditions and other norms. This is a product-specific requirement; ask your broker and the relevant certification body what applies to your exact model.

The technical regulation inspectorate also defines declaration of conformity as a mandatory form of confirming compliance. Ask whether your product needs certification or a declaration, who will arrange it, and what samples and reports are accepted. Get written confirmation of the route and label artwork before production.

Give your Uzbek broker the arrival work

Appoint your own customs broker in Uzbekistan before placing the order. Ask them to confirm the goods classification, importer details, applicable permissions, conformity documents, labelling and final entry requirements. On arrival, agree that they will handle the declaration, customs queries, duty and tax calculation, and release arrangements on your behalf.

Send the broker the proposed contract and invoice structure, including the UK seller and Chinese dispatch location. Ask them to approve the document details before shipment. Our overseas buying guide explains the wider division between sourcing in China and destination clearance.

Agree the factory document pack

We coordinate the commercial invoice and packing list with the Chinese factory. Check seller, buyer, consignee, product descriptions, quantities, values, package counts and weights against the order and shipment. Ask your broker whose invoice they need when the purchase is through a UK company.

We obtain the factory's available test reports and arrange a certificate of origin where your broker requests it, confirming the issuing route before shipment. Match reports to the actual model, materials and manufacturer. Treat these as an agreed document pack, rather than assuming every document is compulsory for every product.

Check the supplier and inspect before shipment

Our staff in China check the supplier's identity, production address and ability to make the specified goods. We establish whether the supplier operates the factory, review relevant production equipment and compare the proposed product with an approved sample. Agree measurable acceptance criteria before authorising production.

Before shipment, we inspect against the specification and sample, checking workmanship, agreed functions, quantities, packaging and approved labels. Record defects and agree corrective work before release. Factory inspection and document review serve different purposes, so ask the certification body separately whether the conformity evidence is acceptable.

Name the seaport or border point in your quote

Uzbekistan is landlocked. Tell us the seaport or border point you want quoted, together with the final destination city. Agree the onward leg separately, including transport, transit handling, insurance, unloading and destination charges. Ask the quote to identify its endpoint and included services clearly.

Send the product specification, order quantity, packaging, broker's document checklist and named delivery point. See how to buy through a UK company. If comparing neighbouring destinations, use the Kazakhstan guide as a separate country brief and ask your Uzbek broker to confirm your own entry.
