Importing from China to Denmark: importer registration
Start with importer registration. Danish Customs says you must register before importing goods from outside the EU. Ask your own Danish customs broker to confirm the shipment checklist and final entry. Sourcing, factory checks and quotes to your Danish port are available through Cambridge China Bridge.

Register the importing business before shipment
Danish Customs says that before importing goods from outside the EU, you must register as an importer with the Danish Business Authority through Virk. For a Danish business buying from China, this is the starting gate. Ask your own customs broker to check the importing company's registration before you commit to shipment.
Give the broker your product description, materials, intended use and proposed destination port. Ask for a written shipment checklist. The overseas buying guide explains the general sourcing arrangement; this guide adds Denmark's registration step and clearance handover.
Agree a quote to your Danish port
We are a UK-based sourcing company with our own staff in China. We can manage the Chinese factory and quote shipment directly from China to your named Danish port. Ask the quote to identify the delivery term, freight, insurance arrangements and destination charges included or excluded.
Record who sells the goods, who buys them and who will import them into Denmark. Agree separately who arranges port handling, clearance and onward delivery. Our buy-through-UK-company service explains the purchasing arrangement.
Set product checks before production
The European Commission says importers must check that products meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements before placing them on the market. Ask a product compliance adviser to identify the requirements for your exact goods, including any testing, certification, registration, labels and instructions.
Send the agreed checklist to us before approving samples or printing packaging. The Netherlands guide provides another EU destination example, while the Norway guide covers its product approval starting point. Use the Danish assessment for your order.
Prepare the shipment documents together
The Chinese factory supplies packing details and its relevant test reports. We coordinate the commercial invoice with the seller named in your purchasing arrangement and compile the packing list with the factory. Check product descriptions, quantities, values, delivery term, carton contents, weights and dimensions against the actual shipment.
Ask your broker whether a certificate of origin is needed and which form they will accept; we coordinate obtaining it from the China side when requested. We compare test reports with the ordered model, materials and configuration, and flag gaps. Send document drafts to the broker before dispatch.
Check the supplier and inspect before dispatch
Our staff in China check supplier identity, the production site, relevant equipment and proposed subcontracting. We compare supplier, invoice and payment details and investigate mismatches. Agree the specification, approved sample and acceptance criteria before production.
Before shipment, we inspect workmanship, measurements, quantities, packaging and agreed label artwork against that brief. We record findings and requested corrections for your shipment decision. Keep the inspection report separate from laboratory reports and the product compliance review.

Give your own broker the arrival handover
Appoint your own Danish customs broker before dispatch. Agree that the broker will review the shipment documents, check classification, origin and valuation, confirm applicable duties and import VAT treatment, and handle the arrival declaration and customs queries. Your own customs broker confirms the final entry.
We provide the agreed China-side documents and inspection findings, and coordinate corrections with the factory. Ask the broker to confirm clearance and collection arrangements before booking onward delivery. Keep the port quote, broker charges and local delivery costs together when reviewing your total purchase cost.
