Start with the importer registration
The Ministry of Justice publishes a requirement for any individual or legal entity wishing to undertake import or export activities to register in the importer and exporter files, under procedures established by regulation. Before paying a factory, ask your Comorian customs broker to confirm the importing entity, its registration and the current application procedure.
The law also requires an approval or import licence for products excluded from the free-trade regime, issued by the ministry responsible for foreign trade after technical endorsement by the relevant administration. Send the draft commercial invoice to your broker for approval before shipment, checking the buyer details, product descriptions, origin, weights, values, freight and insurance entries.

Check the supplier and inspect the goods
