Check the Angolan importer before ordering

Send your proposed Angolan importer's details and registration documents to your own customs broker before approving the purchase. Ask for written confirmation that the importing arrangements suit the proposed goods, and identify any outstanding steps before committing money.

Give the broker the product description, intended use, materials and model details. Ask them to identify any applicable licensing, certification, registration or labelling checks before we approve factory artwork or book shipment. The broader procurement process is covered in buying from China outside the UK.

Agree what your customs broker handles

Appoint your own Angolan customs broker and agree their scope: checking classification and customs value, preparing the arrival declaration, dealing with customs queries, confirming duties and taxes, and coordinating release and collection. Your broker confirms the final entry for your actual goods.

Request a separate estimate for destination handling, clearance, storage exposure and onward transport. If you also import elsewhere, consult the South Africa guide and Nigeria guide for those destinations rather than carrying their procedures into an Angola order.

Prepare the factory and sales documents together

For a purchase through us, we prepare the commercial invoice for our sale using the agreed transaction and shipment details. The Chinese factory supplies the packing information, which we coordinate into the packing list. Send drafts to your broker so they can check the seller, importer, descriptions, values, quantities and weights before dispatch.

We coordinate a certificate of origin where your broker requests it and obtain available test reports from the factory or arrange agreed testing. Ask the broker which documents and issuing bodies they will accept. Match reports to the exact model and construction being supplied; a report for a similar product leaves an unresolved question.

Check the supplier and inspect the actual order

Our own staff in China check the supplier's identity, factory location, production capability and proposed subcontracting. We compare samples with your written specification and establish whether the supplier can provide the supporting documents your broker has requested.

Before shipment, we inspect against the approved sample and agreed checklist, covering workmanship, dimensions, operation, quantities, packaging and approved label artwork. We send findings for review and agree how defects will be resolved. Keep inspection findings and test reports separate so you can see what each check actually established.

Ask for a quote to your own Angolan port

Tell us the goods, specifications, quantities and destination port, such as Luanda or Lobito. Ask for a written quote stating the delivery term, freight scope, insurance arrangements and destination charges included. Use your broker's estimate alongside it to build your arrival budget.

Agree who approves documents, corrective work and shipment before placing the order. Our buy-through-UK-company service explains the purchasing arrangement. Factory audits and inspections are usually included in the quote; complex checks that need a third party are charged separately and agreed in advance.
