Sourcing bedding from Dieshiqiao in Haimen

Use Dieshiqiao’s market to shortlist bedding, then trace each sample to its sewing factory and fabric processors. Plan visits around the actual production route, and approve a sample made with the proposed bulk fabric before ordering. Follow-up checks in China can be coordinated by Cambridge China Bridge.

Use the cluster map to plan your buying route

The State Post Bureau’s cluster account places Dieshiqiao in Haimen, Nantong, and describes a chain covering weaving, dyeing, printing, finished goods, research and development, and logistics. Use this as a map of capabilities to investigate. It does not establish that a market seller owns those operations or that your chosen product passes through them locally.

Prepare a brief separating sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases from filled bedding. Specify fibre composition, fabric construction, finished dimensions, closures, colours, packaging and intended use. Confirm market locations and appointments before travelling. Reserve follow-up time for the sewing factory and relevant upstream processors once the sample’s route is identified.

Trace each market range to its actual makers

Ask whether each displayed range is held stock, repeat production or a customisable design. Record the stall, seller’s business name, style reference, receipt and sample photographs. For coordinated bedding, identify the maker and fabric source of each component; matching appearance does not establish a common production route.

Request the sewing factory’s name, address and contact, alongside the seller’s relationship with it. Identify who quotes, receives payment and handles defects. Ask for sample-linked fabric purchase records and processing references, with unrelated commercial details concealed if necessary. Use our factory versus trading company guide to assess manufacturing claims. Keep repeat supply unapproved if the route cannot be substantiated.

Make the sewing-factory visit sample-specific

Take the labelled market sample and buying brief to the proposed factory. Ask staff to connect it to fabric rolls, cutting instructions and production records. Follow cutting, sewing, any filling or quilting, checking and packing. Establish which operations happen elsewhere and whether the proposed bulk order will use the same sites.

Check how staff keep fabric lots and shades separate, control finished dimensions, align prints and deal with seam defects. For filled bedding, inspect how the specified filling is identified and kept separate. Ask the factory to make a production sample using the intended materials, recording any differences from the market item. Our bulk-to-sample guide explains the wider approval process.

Visit upstream operations where they affect your range

Obtain processor names, addresses, permissions and sample-linked records before booking visits. Start with the sewing factory to establish the route, then visit the weaving, dyeing, printing or finishing operation responsible for an unresolved risk. Allow for travel between confirmed addresses and for processing work that may not be running during your visit.

At weaving, connect yarn and fabric construction to the proposed cloth. At dyeing and printing, follow fabric lot references, colour approvals and artwork through processing records. At finishing, ask how treatments affect handle, dimensions and washing. Retain labelled fabric swatches linked to the finished sample. Prioritise the process controlling your concern, such as shade variation or shrinkage, rather than touring unrelated machinery.

Turn the visit record into a repeatable order

Build an approval file linking the market sample, seller, sewing factory, processors, fabric references and agreed specification. Define washing conditions and acceptance criteria for shrinkage, colour change, colour transfer and seam performance. Use our textile wash-performance guide for the test plan. Agree inspection points and defect handling before production.

Ask what happens if fabric, print designs or processing capacity become unavailable. Require your written approval before changing materials or production sites, and keep batch references for repeat orders. Our supply-chain risk guide covers wider continuity planning. Cambridge China Bridge’s own staff in China can follow up the named sites, sample records and outstanding checks after your visit.

Frequently asked questions

Are Dieshiqiao bedding market sellers factories?

Do not assume so. Ask who made the exact sample, where the order will be sewn and which processors supply its fabric. Check the seller’s relationship with those businesses.

Should I visit the market or sewing factory first?

Use the market to select relevant samples, then visit the proposed sewing factory to establish their production route. Book upstream visits once the responsible processors are identified.

Which upstream bedding suppliers should I visit?

Visit the operation controlling an unresolved concern: weaving for fabric construction, dyeing for shades, printing for patterns or finishing for handle and wash behaviour. Link the visit to your sample.

Can I reorder bedding from a market sample?

Approve a production sample made with the proposed bulk fabric first. Record the maker, processors, material references and substitution terms so replenishment can be checked against the same specification.
