How to source industrial pumps from Boshan

Use the cluster account to build a shortlist

Zibo's official cluster account describes Boshan's industrial, submersible and slurry-pump manufacturing base. It identifies Woerm Pump Industry for chemical pumps and Zibo Huayan Pump Industry for high-pressure mud transfer. Treat these as leads to investigate, rather than evidence that a particular model suits your installation.

For submersible and slurry pumps, request application references from each proposed maker rather than assuming a chemical-pump specialist covers them. Define the pumping duty before requesting quotes

Send every maker the same duty sheet: required flow and total head, operating range, liquid composition, temperature, density, viscosity, solids content and particle size. Include suction conditions, available suction head, pipe layout, installation space, electrical supply and operating pattern. Ask the maker to mark the proposed duty point and operating range on its pump curve.

Ask for a written selection rationale covering hydraulic design, wetted materials, seals, motor and controls. Require the maker to explain assumptions, exclusions and how performance changes with your liquid. Compare complete assemblies and service packages, rather than matching catalogue names.

Match the maker to your service requirement

Define who will install, commission and repair the pump in the UK. Ask which bearings, seals and motors can be obtained locally, which wear parts are proprietary, and what drawings and part identifiers the maker will supply. Agree support language, response arrangements, warranty exclusions and responsibility for diagnosis.

Check that the proposed maker controls the engineering and final assembly. Identify outsourced casting, machining and testing, and ask how records follow components into the finished pump. Plan engineering and assembly visits

Before booking travel, send a visit agenda and request attendance by the selection engineer, assembly supervisor and test engineer. Ask for the proposed drawings, curves, component schedule and test procedure in advance. Confirm the relevant pump will be available and the assembly operations you need to observe will be taking place.

In the engineering meeting, resolve suction assumptions, material compatibility, seal support, motor loading and maintenance access. On the assembly floor, trace materials and bought-in components to records; inspect impeller identification, clearances, shaft alignment, seal fitting and cable entry where relevant. Witness a test that supports the buying decision

The official account describes performance-test facilities at Woerm. Confirm directly that the available rig accommodates your pump's flow, head, power, connections and supply frequency. Agree the test method, acceptance tolerances, instrument calibration, witness access and reporting before the visit. Do not infer that facilities described at a particular company are available at every Boshan factory.

Witness the proposed build and record its identity, impeller, motor, speed, test liquid and configuration. Request measured flow, head, input power, vibration and leakage across the agreed operating range. A clean-water hydraulic test alone does not establish slurry wear life or chemical compatibility; ask the engineer to document what it demonstrates and what remains unproven.

Close the visit with raw results, a signed report, photographs and an action list assigning responsibility for corrections and retesting.
