Return perfume, nail polish or aerosols to China
If ordinary international post refuses the contents, pause dispatch and obtain written acceptance from a suitable carrier, or ask the seller to arrange confirmed collection. Keep the refusal, return agreement and handover evidence together. For factory-side coordination, contact Cambridge China Bridge.

Record the postal refusal before changing plans
Save the postal operator’s refusal or relevant service restriction alongside your order. Tell the seller exactly which contents were declined: perfume, nail polish or aerosol toiletries. Do not change the description to “beauty accessories” to obtain a booking, or assume that the original delivery method is available for the return.
Ask the seller to agree a revised return arrangement and deadline in the original order channel. Explain that you are awaiting an accepted transport route. Our general return guide covers address approval and customs information; the steps below address the refused contents.
Get acceptance for the actual product and route
Send a carrier or forwarder with a dangerous goods service the product name, formulation information, container size, quantity, condition and photographs of labels. Disclose opened bottles, leakage, damaged containers and aerosol cans. Ask the factory for a matching SDS where available. Our SDS and shipping documents guide explains how to distinguish product information from shipment paperwork.
Ask for written acceptance covering UK collection, onward transport and delivery to the authorised China address. Request the service name, booking reference, packing instructions and documents needed. UK guidance requires dangerous goods to be packaged and labelled appropriately. Ask the specialist to confirm whether that classification applies; a generic quotation or printable label is insufficient confirmation.
Check seller-arranged collection before handover
Ask the seller to arrange collection through a carrier that has assessed the disclosed contents. Obtain the carrier’s name, booking reference, collection instructions and written acceptance. Confirm these through the carrier’s own contact channel. A seller’s prepaid label does not by itself establish that the booked service accepts perfume, nail polish or aerosols.
Agree who supplies suitable packaging, prepares shipment documents and pays collection, transport and any failed-delivery charges. Confirm whether collection at your premises or receipt at the authorised destination triggers the agreed refund. If a UK return depot is proposed, obtain written confirmation that it is authorised for your order and clarify who handles onward transport.
Preserve evidence through collection and refund
Photograph product names, batch markings, seals, remaining contents and the reported fault without opening containers merely for evidence. Record the packed contents and final label following the carrier’s instructions. Save the acceptance message and seller’s booking alongside these photographs. At collection, obtain a receipt linking the parcel to the booking or tracking reference.
Keep carrier refusal evidence separate from collection and delivery evidence: refusal explains why you could not post, but does not prove a return. Download tracking and delivery records, request the seller’s acknowledgement of the goods received and verify the refund in your own payment account. See requests to close a dispute before refunding before changing the case status.

If no carrier accepts the return
Send the seller and platform support the refusal messages and your attempts to obtain an accepted route. Ask for seller-arranged specialist collection, an authorised UK return destination, or an agreed refund without physical return. Record the agreed amount, payment route and any conditions. Ask support to confirm any extension while transport remains unresolved.
Do not empty, decant or puncture containers to make a return easier. If the seller proposes disposal, obtain the refund agreement and required evidence first, then seek suitable local disposal advice for the actual contents. Keep the goods available while arrangements remain unresolved, where safe. Cambridge China Bridge’s staff in China can help obtain factory product information and clarify the seller’s proposed collection.
