Where is the Canton Fair Complex?
The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, takes place at the Canton Fair Complex on Pazhou Island in Guangzhou, China. The venue operator lists its address as 382 Yuejiang Zhong Road.
The operator lists Areas A, B, C and D and 620,000 square metres of exhibition space. This is a venue figure, not the space occupied by a particular edition.
Start with your target exhibitors and their halls. For wider attendance planning, see our Canton Fair overview.
Venue layout: match your exhibition area to the right metro exit
Before travelling, obtain the official floor map for your edition and phase. Confirm that it covers your attendance dates before using it to locate suppliers.
Ask each supplier for its complete booth reference and area. Group appointments by location and keep the full reference beside your meeting notes.

Getting there from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou South
For airport arrivals, confirm your terminal and its current connection to public transport. Check the airport and transport operator's current instructions before choosing a boarding station or transfer route.
From Guangzhou South Railway Station, the venue operator's published metro route is Line 2 towards Jiahewanggang to Changgang, then Line 8 towards Wanshengwei. Choose your final stop using the exhibition-area table.
Guangzhou's transport guide dated 15 October 2026 also describes intercity rail connections to Pazhou from Guangzhou South and Baiyun Airport Terminal 3. Confirm the actual boarding station, terminal connection and timetable; intercity rail and metro are separate services.
Allow time for immigration, baggage collection, transfers and walking to your hall. Avoid scheduling a supplier meeting immediately after your flight or train arrival.
Airport buses, internal shuttles and hotel buses are different services
Airport bus: Baiyun district's notice dated 15 October 2026 lists a 140th Fair service on 15–19 October, 23–27 October and 31 October–4 November 2026. Operating windows are 09:00–16:00 towards the complex and 11:00–18:00 towards the airport. Confirm boarding points, ticket conditions and return departures.
Internal shuttle: Liwan district's notice dated 16 October 2026 describes free electric shuttles between exhibition areas, with stops along ground-floor halls in A, B and D and an Area C connection via the central platform between A and B. Follow posted routes and staff instructions.
Hotel buses: the Liwan notice identifies designated parking across all four areas. Ask your accommodation whether it operates a service on your dates, whether reservations are needed and where the return bus boards.
These arrangements concern the 140th Fair. Recheck future services when planning with our 2027 Canton Fair page.
Choosing accommodation and planning the return journey
Compare accommodation by the complete journey to your first hall, including walking, station access, transfers and the return trip. Check the actual entrance rather than relying on a listing's description of proximity to Pazhou.
Request the property's Chinese address, location pin, cancellation terms and written shuttle details. If step-free access matters, confirm the route with the property and transport operator before booking.
For taxis or booked cars, share the exhibition area and permitted pickup point with your driver. Save the location offline, follow current event traffic instructions and prepare a metro alternative.
These are general planning suggestions, with no hotel endorsements. Weigh accommodation and travel costs against likely supplier meetings using is the Canton Fair worth going to?. Teams can divide halls and agree a meeting point.

Keep venue planning separate from your import budget
Prepare a buying brief with your product requirements, destination, quantity, sample needs and delivery expectations. Use the Canton Fair buyers' pack to organise supplier conversations.
For UK imports, HMRC says import VAT valuation starts with the customs value for duty, even if no duty is payable. Add applicable import duties and charges, excluding VAT itself, and incidental expenses not already included: these include qualifying transport and insurance costs to the first UK destination and to a further UK destination known at importation. A supplier's product quotation alone is insufficient.
For other destinations, check the relevant customs authority's current guidance for your product and shipment.
Sources and reference date

Recheck operating arrangements before travelling. The dynamic floor-map page and English operator transport page did not return readable content during this check; no edition-specific map content or detailed airport metro route is asserted from those pages.
