How to buy wholesale goods on Yiwugo
Use Yiwugo to shortlist products, then connect each listing to the shop, the business taking your order and the goods available for dispatch. Approve samples and agree payment, inspection and export responsibilities before committing. China-side checks and shipment coordination can be arranged through Cambridge China Bridge.

Find products, then investigate the shop
Yiwugo offers keyword and image search, market browsing and links from products to shops. Search by product type, material and intended use; try Chinese terms if English results are thin. Open the shop behind a promising listing and compare its wider range. Save the product and shop links alongside screenshots of the variant, quoted price and minimum order.
Where a shop page gives a market address and map link, record the district, floor and booth. Check whether the seller is actually based in the Yiwu market or elsewhere. Treat the displayed price and minimum as questions to confirm for your chosen variant, packaging and quantity, rather than a finished export quotation.
Connect the listing to a real seller
Ask who operates the shop, who will invoice you and whether the goods come from its own production, another factory or existing stock. Request the business licence and reconcile the business name with the quotation and payment recipient. A market booth is a place to investigate; it does not establish manufacturing capability.
Ask for a live video showing the booth sign, the selected product and its packaging. For a local visit, give the checker the saved listing, booth address and exact variant to trace. If manufacturing claims matter, check the production site separately. Our platform safety guide covers the shared payment and fraud safeguards.
Sample the goods you intend to retail
Ask whether the sample comes from saleable stock or is a display piece, and whether the bulk order will use the same materials and finish. For mixed colours or designs, agree the assortment explicitly. Check usability, finish, retail packaging and carton protection, rather than approving from photographs.
Keep the approved sample and give it a reference in the order. Ask the seller to confirm stock availability, replenishment arrangements and whether substitutions are allowed. Agree how shortages, damaged goods and failed checks will be resolved before dispatch. A sample purchase should help you decide whether to order, rather than commit you to bulk stock.
Agree the order and payment route
Request a written quotation identifying the seller, product references, assortment, packaging, dispatch arrangements and exclusions. Separate the goods price from delivery within China, warehouse handling and international freight. Use understanding your landed price to compare the complete cost of getting stock to your business.
Ask which payment methods are available for this particular order. If you intend to rely on platform protection, read the applicable terms and confirm the payment route and order details before paying. Negotiate payment stages tied to agreed checks, and name who authorises release. If a separate exporter or agent receives payment, document its role and relationship to the shop.
Turn shop purchases into an export shipment
Before ordering, name who collects from each shop, receives and checks the goods, combines cartons and books freight. Agree warehouse identification marks so each carton can be traced to its seller and order. Ask who prepares the commercial invoice and packing list, and who handles export arrangements. Delivery to a Chinese warehouse should not be mistaken for delivery to your business.
For UK imports, the commodity code must be included on the import declaration. Give your customs representative accurate product descriptions and agree who supplies the declaration information. Use our UK customs documents guide for the paperwork and clarify whether your provider is an agent or seller. Cambridge China Bridge can use its own staff in China to check sellers and goods and coordinate the agreed shipment.
Frequently asked questions
Are Yiwugo sellers factories?
Do not infer that from a listing or booth address. Ask whether the seller manufactures, trades or sells existing stock. If production capability matters, verify the production site separately.
Can I buy samples from Yiwugo?
Ask the shop whether it will supply your exact variant as a sample, how it will be delivered and whether it represents the bulk goods. Confirm sample and delivery charges before paying.
Does Yiwugo arrange shipping to the UK?
Ask what your particular quotation includes. Name the party responsible for collection, consolidation, export paperwork, international freight and UK clearance before ordering.
Can I combine orders from different Yiwugo shops?
Arrange a receiving warehouse and identify each seller's cartons. Agree checks, shortage handling, storage and dispatch instructions before shops send goods, then obtain a freight quote for the combined shipment.
