Importing from China to Central African Republic
Start with the validated prior import declaration: the Finance Ministry states it is mandatory for customs declarations with a FOB value of at least 1 million Francs CFA, excluding exempt goods. Agree your named seaport or border point and onward transport separately. Cambridge China Bridge arranges sourcing and checks in China.

Check the validated import declaration first
The Finance Ministry states that validated prior import declarations, known as DPIV, are mandatory for customs declarations whose FOB value equals or exceeds 1 million Francs CFA, excluding exempt goods. This is the declaration gate to check with your own customs broker before committing to a factory order.
Ask your broker to confirm how that published rule applies to your consignment, who will arrange validation, and what information they need from China. Send the product description and proposed invoice early. Keep their written instructions with the order.
Name the seaport or border point in your quote
The Central African Republic is landlocked. We can quote to the seaport or border point you name, with the onward leg agreed separately. Specify the exact handover location rather than asking for a price simply 'to the Central African Republic'.
Ask the quotation to identify freight, insurance, unloading, transit handling and onward transport responsibilities. Have your broker and forwarder check the handover together. Our overseas buying guide explains the wider procurement arrangement.
Give your broker a consistent document pack
Agree the document list with your broker before production. We coordinate the commercial invoice and packing list with the factory and arrange a certificate of origin where requested. We collect available test reports and agree any additional testing before shipment. Ask the broker which documents need originals and which details must appear.
Instruct your own customs broker to prepare the arrival declaration, check classification and valuation, confirm applicable duties, taxes and product permissions, and coordinate clearance and release. The broker confirms the final entry. Ask them to check that the invoice, packing list, transport documents and importer details agree.
Check the supplier and inspect the actual shipment
Our own staff in China check the supplier's identity, production location and ability to make the specified goods. We agree materials, dimensions, performance, packaging and an approved sample with you, then use those purchase conditions to brief the inspection.
Before shipment, we inspect the goods against the agreed specification and record findings, packaging condition and outstanding corrections. We check that test reports identify the ordered product. Factory audits and inspections are usually included in the quote; complex checks that need a third party are charged separately and agreed in advance.

Send a brief that joins both ends of the shipment
Send the product specification, quantity, intended use, importer details, named handover point and your broker's document instructions. Ask for the quote to identify the seller, payment stages, inspection arrangements and freight scope. Our buy-through-a-UK-company service explains that purchasing arrangement.
If your supplier proposes using paperwork from another African destination, send it to your broker for review before accepting it. The guides to Nigeria and Tanzania explain those destinations separately; use the Central African Republic instructions for this order.
