Set product checks before approving packaging
Customs identification and product conformity are separate checks. CE marking is required only for products covered by EU rules that specifically mandate it. Ask your compliance adviser to identify the requirements for the exact product, materials and intended use before approving production.
Agree the test evidence, declarations, label artwork and instructions to review before shipment. Match the supplier’s reports to the model and configuration you will receive. Prepare documents for your own customs broker
For a factory sale, the Chinese factory provides the commercial invoice and packing list. We coordinate and cross-check descriptions, quantities, carton counts, weights and delivery terms against the order. If we sell you the goods, agree our invoice arrangement with your broker. Ask whether a certificate of origin is needed and agree who obtains it. We collect available factory test reports and coordinate agreed additional testing.
Send the draft pack and transport document to your own Slovenian customs broker before dispatch. Appoint the broker to prepare the arrival declaration, review classification, origin and customs value, confirm duties, import VAT and any product-specific permissions, and coordinate queries and release. Verify the supplier and inspect before shipment
Our own staff in China check the supplier’s identity, actual manufacturing site, relevant equipment and ability to make your specification. Agree a retained approved sample and written acceptance criteria. Before shipment, inspect the finished order for dimensions, function, workmanship, quantities, packaging and approved labels, and record findings for your release decision.
Keep the supplier assessment, shipment inspection and laboratory reports separate so you can see what each establishes. Agree corrective work and rechecking before authorising dispatch.
